Effective date: October 1, 2026

AI @ Home (ai-at-home.com, the “Site”) is owned and operated by SilverGrass Marketing, LLC,
an Illinois limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains
what information we collect when you visit the Site or subscribe to our newsletter, how we
use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use
the Site.

Information we collect

Information you give us.

  • Newsletter signup. When you subscribe, you give us your email address
(and your name, if you choose to). Our newsletter runs on Substack, so the signup form on
the Site sends your information to Substack.
  • Contact and feedback forms. When you use our contact page or feedback form,
we receive what you send us: typically your name, email address, and your message.
  • Comments. If comments are open on a post and you leave one, we collect the
name, email address, and comment you submit, plus your IP address and browser information
    to help catch spam.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site and the services we use automatically collect some information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. Much of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as health, financial, or government ID
information. Please do not send it to us through our forms.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • send you the newsletter and other emails you signed up for;
  • answer your messages and feedback;
  • run, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • understand which articles are useful so we can write better ones;
  • prevent spam, fraud, and abuse; and
  • comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for money.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We and our service providers use
cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember preferences, and measure
how the Site is used.

  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and
use the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time on page, and
general location (city or region), and reports it to us in aggregate. You can learn how Google
    uses this data at
    https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
and opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at
    https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Google Search Console. We use Search Console to see how the Site appears in
Google search results. It reports search data to us in aggregate.
  • Social sharing. Our share buttons and links to Threads, Instagram, and Pinterest
take you to those platforms. If you use them, those platforms may collect information under
    their own privacy policies.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The Site will still work, though
some features may not.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common
industry standard for responding to these signals, so the Site does not currently respond to them.

Advertising and affiliate links

Some posts may contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a
commission at no extra cost to you. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer (and its
affiliate network) may set cookies to track that the sale came from us.

If we add advertising to the Site, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve
ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies
enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this Site and other sites. You
can opt out of personalized advertising at
https://adssettings.google.com
or
https://www.aboutads.info/choices.
We will update this policy to name any ad network we use before ads go live.

Who we share information with

We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers who help us run the Site and newsletter, including our web
host (Amazon Web Services), our newsletter platform (Substack), and our analytics provider
(Google). They may use your information only to provide services to us or as described in their
    own privacy policies.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when we believe in good faith that the law requires it,
or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SilverGrass Marketing, LLC, our readers, or others.
  • Business transfers, if the Site or our business is sold or transferred, in which
case your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

Substack

Newsletter subscriptions are handled by Substack, Inc. Once you subscribe, Substack’s privacy policy
(https://substack.com/privacy) also applies to how your
information is handled. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Newsletter information
is kept until you unsubscribe. Messages sent through our forms are kept as long as needed to respond and
for reasonable record-keeping afterward. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of
our analytics provider.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections,
to protect the information we collect. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we
cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
  • Cookies: block or delete them in your browser settings.
  • Access, correction, or deletion: you can ask us what personal information we have
about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us (see below). We will respond within a
reasonable time and as required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law. For example, residents
of some U.S. states and visitors from the European Economic Area and United Kingdom may have the right
to access, correct, delete, or port their personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing,
and to withdraw consent. Where those laws apply, we process personal information based on your consent
(such as newsletter signups), to respond to your requests, and for our legitimate interests in running
and improving the Site. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

International visitors

The Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be
transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from
those in your country.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information,
please contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

The Site links to other websites and to AI tools we write about. We are not responsible for the privacy
practices of those sites or services. Please read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the
top of this page. If the changes are significant, we may also let newsletter subscribers know.
